Teaching resources

I teach using a wide range of material, including language book series, sites and books with grammar exercises, audio and video, and cultural resources. Beginner lessons include a mix of vocabulary building, introductory listening and pronunciation, and beginning sentence formation, while more advanced lessons are customized to students' goals and skills. The language books I work with follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR © Council of Europe), starting at the A1 level (beginner) and reaching at least a B2 (fluent). See the levels explained below.

    Language Levels
  1. A1: Breakthrough - You can use basic phrases and introduce yourself if the other person speaks slowly.
  2. A2: Beginner - You can handle simple, routine tasks and talk about immediate, familiar topics.
  3. B1: Intermediate - You can manage travel situations, describe experiences, and write simple texts on familiar topics.
  4. B2: Independent - You can speak fluently and spontaneously with native speakers and understand complex text.
  5. C1: Proficient - You can use language flexibly for professional and academic tasks without searching for words.
  6. C2: Mastery - You can easily understand and express yourself precisely in any complex situation.
